Enjoying Maastrichts Mooiste

Enjoyment, that was Sunday at 17th edition of Maastrichts Mooiste. In the beaming sun, participants and spectators made it a big party during Maastricht's most enjoyable running event.

Over the various distances, participants fought for the best time and the win, but most of all had a lot of fun. From beaming faces at the Kidsruns to tired but proud looks on the faces of runners of the 10 English Mile. Maastrichts Mooiste can rightly call itself the most beautiful.

Results
The best time on the main event, the 10 English Mile, was run by Amaury Paquet in a time of 00:49:20 Next to him on the podium were Ricardo Floris and Mick Claessens as numbers two and three with times of 00:52:46 and 00:54:57

Among the women, Leentje Hellemans crossed the finish line first in a superb time of 01:04:30. She was joined on the podium by Manouk Peters (01:07:00) and Danai Lytrokapi (01:09:50). View all results of Maastrichts Mooiste here.

Beautiful route
Running during Maastrichts Mooiste also means enjoying everything around you. The beautiful historic city centre of Maastricht, the enthusiastic people along the course, but also the amazing green surroundings. During this edition, participants of the 10 English Mile even made a small trip to Belgium. They were not delayed at the border, as a passport was not needed for this one time.

At the finish on the Market Square it was also old-fashioned fun. There, runners crossed the line to loud cheers and could then toast and reminisce on a successful day while enjoying a piece of Limburg flan from Bakkerij Paulissen.
